Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account. Name, email, profile image, and a user id from Clerk when you sign up.
• Billing. Clerk (and Stripe, through Clerk Billing) processes payment. Pixeldrive stores your plan and whether it is active.
• Content. Photos you upload, plus names, sizes, dimensions, and similar metadata for projects, folders, and files.
• Usage. Operational logs from hosting and the backend (for example IP address, user agent, and request paths) so we can run, debug, and secure the service.

We do not run a separate advertising or product-analytics tracker on the marketing site.

Uploads

Pixeldrive exists to host files and serve them on the web. Files in a public project are stored in a public, unencrypted bucket and delivered from a CDN. Anyone with a file URL can fetch the bytes. The share toggle only publishes or hides the JSON listing of a project or folder — it is not access control for those bytes.

Private projects store files in a separate encrypted-at-rest bucket. Access uses expiring signed links or a project API key. This is not end-to-end encryption: Pixeldrive and its storage provider can read the bytes to serve them.

Do not upload secrets, or personal data you would not put on a webpage. If a photo includes other people, make sure you have the right to publish it.

How we use information

• Provide the account, uploads, CDN links, and public API
• Enforce plan limits and process Pro subscriptions
• Keep the service reliable and abuse-resistant
• Respond to you if you write to us
• Comply with law when we must

We do not sell your personal information.

Processors

We use other companies to run Pixeldrive. They only get what they need to do that job:

• Clerk — sign-in, accounts, and billing
• Stripe (via Clerk) — payment processing for Pro
• Convex — application database and backend
• Vercel — website and app hosting
• Cloudflare — DNS, CDN, and related edge delivery
• Backblaze — object storage for uploaded files

Cookies

Clerk sets cookies (or similar storage) so you can stay signed in. Those are required for the app to work. We do not use advertising cookies.

Retention

Account data stays while your account exists. Files stay until you delete them. After you delete a file we remove it from storage; cached copies of an immutable CDN URL may still serve until that cache expires (up to a year).

If you delete your Clerk account, we remove your user record and tear down personal accounts you own — including their projects, files, and stored objects. Cached copies of a public CDN URL may still serve until that cache expires (up to a year). If something is left behind, email us and we will help clean it up.

Your choices

• Update your name and email in your Clerk account settings
• Delete files, folders, or projects in the app
• Turn a JSON listing off, or rotate a project or folder public id
• Email support@pixeldrive.dev to ask what we have, or to request deletion we cannot do in the app

Children

Pixeldrive is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you think a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

International

We and our processors operate in the United States and other countries. If you use Pixeldrive from elsewhere, your information may be processed in the US.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top is the latest version. If a change is material, we will try to notice it in the product or by email.
